Developed for the British Columbia Conservation Officer Service, this Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) combines rapid accessibility, secure retention, and versatile mounting options in a compact, duty-ready package.

The system features a practical two-part design consisting of a removable clamshell-style medical pouch and a dedicated mounting panel. The pouch attaches to the mounting panel using hook-and-loop material and can be quickly torn away when immediate access to medical supplies is required. To minimize contamination and debris accumulation when the pouch is removed and placed on the ground, the loop material is positioned on the pouch rather than the mounting panel.

Inside, multiple elastic retention sections provide organized storage for essential medical components, keeping contents secure and readily accessible during emergency situations. An external elastic sleeve on the front of the pouch offers convenient storage for frequently accessed items such as medical gloves.

For added security, the mounting panel wraps over the pouch and is retained by an adjustable side-release buckle, ensuring the pouch remains firmly in place during demanding field operations while still allowing rapid deployment when needed.

The mounting panel incorporates a laser-cut medical cross identifier with an optional high-visibility insert for enhanced recognition. A pass-through channel behind the mounting straps provides additional versatility, allowing the carriage of trauma shears or enabling horizontal mounting on belts up to 2 inches wide.

To accommodate different user preferences and equipment configurations, the mounting panel is available in two mounting formats: a standard vertical PALS-compatible configuration or a dedicated horizontal mounting configuration.
